Bob, a cunning con-man, leads two very separate lives in Texas. In Houston, he is married to Cat, the daughter of an extremely wealthy Texas-oil tycoon who he constantly tries to impress to secure his position in the company. However, in Midland, he scams local investors out of their hard-earned money, unbeknown to his girlfriend Lindsay. When his father-in-law extends the company to Bob, he must make a decision as to whether he will setting in one life, or continue maintaining both.

Bob recruits his father to help him ease Clint's suspicions about a shady new windfarm deal. Meanwhile, Lindsay fears that she doesn't know Bob as well as she thought, and Cat comes to her brother Drew's rescue multiple times.
