On their first anniversary of becoming witches, the Charmed Ones battle a powerful demon named Abraxas, who steals the book of shadows and reverses all the spells that they cast in their first year. Also, the Halliwells get new neighbors, Dan Gordon and his niece Jenny.

When Monica and Chandler tell Rachel that they are moving in together, she mistakenly believes that all three will be roommates. Phoebe discovers that Ross hasn't annulled his marriage to Rachel.

Peter's very religious father comes to live with the family after he is forced to retire from his lifelong job at the Mill. Francis, however, is an ultra-religious Catholic who hates Lois and is incredibly intolerant of anyone else. Peter, though, hopes to have the kind of bonding that was missing from his childhood, and when all his plans fail to work out, he resorts to kidnapping the Pope.

Frasier and Martin inadvertently offer to pay for Donny and Daphne's wedding. Frasier's meddling drives Daphne crazy. Meanwhile, Niles doesn't realize he's dating a prostitute.

Season Premiere: Multiple traumas come to the ER after a truck crashes into a coffee bar, narrowly missing a very pregnant Carol. Romano becomes Chief of Staff when Anspaugh announces his retirement. Weaver becomes even more unpopular when she is appointed permanent Chief of the ER by Romano. When she becomes engaged to Reggie, Jeanie decides she wants to adopt an HIV-positive baby. Two new doctors are introduced: Luka Kovac, a Croatian doctor moonlighting in the ER; and Cleo Finch, a pediatric resident in the ER. The ER is thrown into chaos when a patient pulls the fire alarm.

Tonight, Kids in the Hall stars Bruce McCulloch & Mark McKinney.
