The remaining teams are instructed to fly from Fortaleze, Brazil to La Paz, Bolivia, but not before a rivalry between two teams heats up at the Pit Stop. The teams fly 1,200 miles and find themselves in area that is over 12,000 feet above sea level, leaving some racers struggling to breathe the thin air. The teams camp beside a local statue and then take a newspaper delivery. They scour the newspapers for a clue, which instructs them to travel to the Narvaez Hat Shop in Plaza Mario and then purchase a traditional cholita hat to receive their next clue. This clue turns out to be a Detour, in which the teams face a choice between a task that is arduous but not overly physical or one likely to leave less physically inclined teams winded. After completing this tax, the teams travel by taxi eight miles to Los Titanes del Ring, where a Roadblock sends one member of each team up against a female wrestler. Many teams struggle at this task, but ultimately one team is done in not so much by their poor performance as by their failure to properly read the instructions given in a clue. They check in last at the Pit Stop, the hilltop park of Mirador el Monticulo, and are eliminated.

Grace is forced to put a stop on her affair with Ray when her husband Ari returns. Meanwhile, Ari tries to persuade Danny to leave the matchmaking business and work for him instead, but Danny has his sights on staying put and getting rid of Kate. Finally, the gods find themselves trying to bring together two soul mates, despite the fact that there are tremendous cultural differences between the two lovers.

The team receives new evidence in a 1964 case which was then though to have been a hit-and-run. Now, a threatening letter addressed to the victim prompts Will and Kat to travel to Mississippi to re-investigate the death of a woman who was secretly involved in giving school supplies for black children.

Bree's estranged daughter, Danielle, returns to Wisteria Lane and is met with a deluge of criticism. Meanwhile, Gabrielle and Susan find themselves embroiled in a catfight brought on by an altercation between their kids. To her chagrin, Lynette comes home to find Tom and Dave have formed a garage band after she told him to get rid of his old things. Finally, Katherine and Mrs. McCluskey invite Edie to lunch to press her for more information on Dave.

Dexter and a pedophile have a run-in; Dexter is unable to restore Freebo's good name after he is accused of a murder he didn't commit. Also, Dexter's friendship with Miguel weighs on his mind.

Sookie seeks solace from her friends after facing a tragedy. Jason suffers from withdrawal symptoms. Sam and Tara share a bond in searching a common goal.

Morgan and Julia's research leads Morgan to believe that he may not be related to any of his siblings, thus implying that he may possibly not be a Buffkin. Meanwhile, Brandy and Mike find themselves arguing over Mike's money problems, and Morgan is forced to confront loan business rival Manny Mamayo when Mamayo's shady methods are brought to light.
