Annie's father, Charles is visiting the Camden family but he has a new girlfriend, Ginger. Annie is really upset that her father is already seeing someone since her mother died only a few months ago. Matt meets a girl at the airport, Heather. He later asks her on a date and learns she is deaf. Lucy takes Simon's advice and dyes her hair blond. While at the park, Mary meets a guy, Wilson and his SUPPOSED little brother, Billy. They go on a date later that evening. The next day at church, Annie storms out. Mary decides to follow her mother, but is hit by a speeding car when she chases her across the street.

When strange things begin happening to the students at Sunnydale High, it seems that everyone is living their worst nightmares. Buffy and the gang must hold together to stop the phenomena before reality and the nightmare world become one.

While Cadet Nog uses Captain Sisko's advice to make the Klingons aboard Deep Space Nine respect him, a captured communiqué from the Maquis brings grim news. As a last resort, the Maquis have used cloaking devices that they obtained from the Klingon Empire to mask thirty missles. The missles were then fired from a remote location in the Badlands towards Cardassia. The loss of so many lives could lead to even more deaths should the Dominion find reason to believe that humans had been behind the attack. A possible Quadrant war needs to be diverted and Sisko turns to the only man who can help: Michael Eddington.

After a shipwreck, Xena must rescue Gabrielle from the cursed ship of Cecrops, the lost mariner, where anyone who steps aboard is there until they die.

One morning when C.J. arrives at her tower, she finds a bouquet of flowers and a poem. She takes for granted that the flowers are from Cody, but it turns out she has a secret admirer. Later when a boy gets into trouble under the pier, a man in a mask rescues him. When he scares the children, he runs away again. One of the boys tells his brother Billy about it. Billy and his friend Brett become obsessed with trying to get this so-called monster on videotape. Therefore they rig a camera under the pier and hope to catch a glimpse of him and then earn money on him.

Miller's overbearing mother is going to write him off as her son since he is an idiot and not married yet. To impress her, Miller claims that he and Murphy are friends. Because Murphy is uncomfortable around Miller, his mother suspects they might be more than friends. Something he doesn't readily deny.
