In the series premiere, Dr. Temperance Brennan (or "Bones" as she is often referred to as), a forensic anthropologist, is met with the task of uncovering the identity of a set of bones which have been deliberately hidden in a lake. However, after identifying the bones, imprisoning the murderer turns out to be a politically sticky business. Bones gets help from FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth, who convinces his boss to let Bones be his partner, since she's an expert in her field.

Picking up on the same night as last season's finale, Lorelai and Luke begin making plans for their future, but Luke is embarrassed when word spreads that Lorelai was the one who proposed. Still hurt over Rory's decision to drop out of Yale and move in with Emily and Richard, Lorelai tells her parents that they can take care of Rory from now on. Richard hires an old friend and respected attorney to help Rory get an easy sentence for stealing the yacht, but the judge gives Rory 300 hours of community service. Logan throws Rory a 'felon' party.

A death row inmate is felled by an unknown disease and House decides to take on the case, over Cuddy and Foreman's objections. House also has to deal with Stacy who is working closely with him, while Cameron has to cope with a dying patient.

Caroline Rhea returns to welcome fourteen new players to The Biggest Loser and to host them at their stay at the new ranch. After being faced with a room of tempting food, the players discover a twist in the game - this time it's men vs. women! The women, who will always wear Red, will be trained by Jillian Michaels, while the Blue team, the men, will be put to the test by Bob Harper. Later, the new teams compete in the first challenge of the season - a competition that takes place in a jet so that the contestants can experience what it feels like to weigh nothing! At the end of this 90-minute episode, one of the hopefuls will be voted off of their team. Who will survive the battle of the sexes Biggest Loser style?

His brother Dean, whom he has not seen in several years, unexpectedly shows up in the middle of the night to tell him that their father went missing while on a hunting trip. Leaving his girlfriend behind to find their dad, Sam joins Dean in order to find their father in Jericho, a small town where unmarried men have disappeared without a trace.

Tommy copes with a tragedy. Jerry must decide what to do when his wife's condition worsens. Sean has a crisis of faith. Lou learns some shocking facts about Candy. And the crew responds to a multi-level building fire with people trapped inside.

When their former elementary school gym teacher is accused of molestation, Charlie responds uncomfortably to the news while Mac attempts to make sense of the whole situation in his own unique way. Seeing Charlies change in behavior as a sign that he might have been molested, Dennis and Dee search and bicker on the different ways that they can get their friend help.

Melinda plans a trip for the roomies to a ranch while Danny questions their relationship.
