Melinda accompanies Delia to the local jewelry store so she can get her newly refurbished engagement ring. An armed robbery occurs while they are in the jewelers. Later, the ghost of the jewelry salesman visits Melinda and she must help him make things right again.

Calvin, a three legged ridgeback mix is terrified of strangers and is obsessively attached to his owners. Rudy, a manic Jack Russell terrier barks incessantly and does laps around the room whenever his owners get ready to ride their motorcycle. Can Cesar teach Rudy some motorcycle etiquette? Finally, meet a border collie named Milo whose herding instincts are getting him into some dangerous trouble. Can Cesar corral this border collie?

Things heat up when Sam's whale and his three wives arrive in Las Vegas, and Sam has to leave the foursome with Delinda for the day after her long-lost love wakes up from a 20-year coma. Meanwhile, Mike falls for one of the wives; Danny becomes jealous when he learns the whale's plans; and Ed tries to replace his housekeeper while Jillian is away.

After an actress is found dead in her apartment, Green and Cassady attempt to prove that her death was not a suicide.

One of David's boyhood friends is called into question after a man dies while he's sparring with him. When it turns out this is not the first time such an event has happened, things look even worse. Charlie is busy practicing what little he knows about poker, so he can take Larry's spot in a tournament.

Lonely and bored, Shawn convinces Juliet to give him a shot with a case involving a missing tennis star, but first he has to spring an unwilling Gus from a corporate retreat.

Jeff and Dixie cope with a difficult drunk in a fight on the street, and Jeff proves his prowess as a paramedic.

Meanwhile, Harry and Selena deal with a pensioner brought in by Jeff, but they fail to save his life and Harry is distraught.

Later, Nathan decides he needs to apologise to Harry. He goes up to his office and, through the blinds, sees Selena and Harry in a passionate embrace.
