Lorelai and Rory help Luke at the diner while he plans his uncle Louie's funeral. However, none of Louie's friends attend the funeral but they all come together for a reception for Louie at Luke's. Meanwhile, Emily helps Sookie plan her wedding and Rory forces Jess to help Luke out more.

Jack stumbles onto a secret detention center. He arrives just in time to bluff Andre and his men out of freeing a prisoner who is being transferred in. Jack confronts the prisoner and discovers that he knows him from the past. Before Jack can learn any more, Andre and his soldiers make another run on the prison.

Caitlin is confused by the kiss she and Charlie shared and seeks the advice of a therapist. Meanwhile, the Mayor buys the staff palm phones which enable Charlie to accidentally eavesdrop on Caitlin's session. He decides to try to fulfill Caitlin's fantasies, which in turn prompts her to decide between Charlie and her current boyfriend, Tom. The precinct focuses on canvassing the neighborhood for leads on the dead hooker's identity. Danny seriously contemplates taking the sergeant's exam and Julien wrestles with whether he should follow through with an affidavit regarding Vic's theft of the Armenian gang's drugs. Vic and the Strike Team uncover an underage prostitution and pornography ring. Vic must take quick, brutal action to protect one of his informants unsettled by the murder spree.
