As Lorelai and Christopher begin to date, Lorelai finds it difficult to commit to the relationship wholeheartedly. Seeing this, Christopher plans romantic dates for Lorelai in order to win her heart. At Yale, Rory becomes friends with eccentric girls she meets at an art museum and Richard is a guest lecturer at his Alma mater. Meanwhile, April comes to Stars Hollow to stay with Luke for a few weeks while her mother is out of town and Lorelai has to bail Emily out of jail when she is arrested.

When a missing Lance Corporal is found dead in a vacant house, the NCIS team discovers that he was buried in the backyard and then exhumed. They learn about his identity and that he was to be deployed to Iraq, but he never showed up for duty. The investigation leads them to a new clue---he had two fiances. Abby runs the DNA samples from the two women to find out if the DNA is a match to the soil found on the dead man's body.

Goren and Eames investigate the death of a well-known and well-liked historian, Dr. Adlai Copeland, and their investigation leads them to suspect the victim's brother Ted, who was perpetually short of money and had recently been cut off by his brother. Ted is the prime suspect in the investigation until he, too, turns up dead, and detectives then turn their eye to the victims' wives, both of whom had something to gain from the two mens' deaths.

Veronica Mars Season 3, Episode 3

A campus football player hires Veronica to help him recover a stolen playbook before the next practice, or risk losing his scholarship. Veronica is threatened with expulsion when she won't reveal to Dean O'Dell one of her sources from the article Veronica wrote about the campus sorority. Logan tells Veronica his schedule is keeping them apart, but she realizes he has been spending time participating in illegal gambling. We get to see the first of Weevil this season when Veronica convinces Keith to hire him to assist with office work at Mars Investigations.
