Eric worries about Matt as Heather's wedding approaches. Eric learns that his sister Julie is dating Dr. Hastings (the doctor who delivered the twins and almost killed Matt at birth) without telling him or the family. Also, Lucy and Simon are both in their awkward love triangle between all of their two best friends and lovers. Ruthie wants to be a bridesmaid and a bride at Heather's wedding.

Becker fears that Reggie may get the wrong idea if he asks her to be his date at a medical fundraiser. Fearing that Reggie will misread his invitation, Becker struggles to find someone else to take to the event. Despite his resistance, his friends insist that he should just ask Reggie. The ongoing pressure causes Becker to recall the first time he was rejected by the opposite sex, as Prequel Monday concludes with a flashback sequence of a 10-year-old Becker asking a little girl to a school dance.

Ally worries if anyone can truly find their perfect mate while working on a case where a man sues his wife for fraud after finding eleven years worth of love letters she wrote to a fantasy lover. Fish proves to Ling, and himself, that he's a "love machine", while Billy and Georgia struggle to put a little spice back in their sex life.

Alex asks Mitch if he wants to escort her to her best friend Sam's wedding. Sam later calls her from New York and tells her that Diane will arrive the next day, but he can't make it until Friday. He asks Alex if she can take care of Diane until he gets there and she agrees to do it.

Doug and Carrie consider having a baby, which results in a flashback from Arthur about the day that Carrie was born.
