Simon wants to buy the perfect gift for Deena because its their three month anniversary, but it ends up consuming his time which annoys his friend, Nigel, who's visiting. Rod (Lucy's ex-boyfriend) is spending time at the Camden's home because his mother died and doesn't want to face his father as he's angry with him. Heather is back in town, and she tells Matt that she's engaged. Meanwhile, Dr. Hasting's - the doctor who almost killed Matt when he was born, works at Glen Oak Hospital and Annie is not thrilled, especially with the possibility that he may deliver her twin babies. Mary tells everyone that she's back with Wilson, but it's not true. She made it up to get attention from guys. Lastly, Michael Towner, who hitted Mary with his car two years ago calls her.

The Sliders accidentally slide out with Maggie's double, leaving Maggie stranded on an American military base where deadly experiments are performed on pilots. Meanwhile, the Sliders arrive on a world that outlaws technology.

Feeling ready to give love another try after a date with Dr. Greg Butters, Ally and Cage go to their therapist's office together to work through their fears regarding relationships. Unfortunately, Ally's current case, in which a husband tries to annul his nine-year marriage on the grounds he was insane when he married his wife, does little to bolster her sense of trust in men.

While Alex and Mitch are walking down the beach, they get a distress call. When they arrrive to the scene, a lot of people are coming out of the water holding their stomachs. Mitch thinks that the water has been polluted and immediately closes the beach. But the water is not polluted. It was just a hot dog vendor who sold bad hot dogs. At headquarters when they are taking care of the victims, Newmie answers the phone and when Mitch picks up the phone he is surprised to hear Tanner's voice. But the phone call is cut off.

The Heffernans' new neighbors have a dog that keeps them up at night, but Doug wants to avoid confrontation. Arthur thinks Charles Schultz is using him as a template for Peanuts characters.
