Joan prepares to prosecute a case for a mock trial at school, per God's request, while enthusiastically planning a way to celebrate her one-year anniversary with Adam, who has secretly betrayed her.
Joan surprises everyone with her passion in prosecuting a mock case against the equally motivated defense attorney, Grace. Meanwhile, while trying to hide his guilt from Joan as she plans a special anniversary night out with him, Adam decides to confess his wrongdoing to an appalled Grace.
Meanwhile, Will investigates the murder of an eight-year-old girl and Helen continues her study of catholicism.

Meanwhile, Cresswell asks Mac to talk his daughter out of her plans to abandon a military career, and Harm maintains his vigil at Mattie's bedside.

Now, Don must re-investigate the old case to determine if he put an innocent man in jail. He asks Charlie to go over the evidence to see if he missed anything the first time around.

The End of the World

The Doctor, seeking to show Rose an unusual event, takes her to the end of the Earth, literally. He takes her forward in time to the impending destruction of the Earth due to the Sun going super nova billions of years in the future.

They land on a specially designed orbital spacecraft that hosts "end of the world" events. All appears normal until strange robot spiders start causing mayhem.

The robot spiders imperil all onboard the orbiting spacecraft, and it's up to the Doctor to set things straight and find out who onboard is in control of these malicious robots. He must solve this dilemma quickly or a trapped Rose, the rest of the guests, and himself, die along with the Earth in the sun's death.

Later on Bex thinks she sees Pete outside her house so calls Luke and after being told he's no where around Bex decides she can't carry on this way and decides she can't carry on with the court case. Elsewhere Tess brings Sam home from the psychiatric hospital sooner than planned leading to an argument with Comfort. Will puts obsticles for Selena to divorce him. Abs steals money from a dead womans bag to pay off Ellen's debt but is persuaded to put it back after Nina threatens to end their relationship if he doesn't and Guppy helps out a young girl who's brother is dying.
