The "battle rounds" continue and the coaches enlist the help of the music industry's top recording artists to offer their knowledge and skills as advisers. Adam Levine teams up with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, Blake Shelton with Cher, CeeLo Green with Miguel and Christina Aguilera with Ed Sheeran. In this phase, the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other in a dueling duet. After the vocal face-off, each coach must choose which artist from their team is the strongest, and has the option of stealing losing artists from an opposing coach. Each coach has two steals during the battle rounds where their artists will proceed to the new knockout rounds.

Unnerved by what they witnessed the night of the party, and besieged by strange and supernatural occurrences, Caleb and Miranda begin to investigate this bizarre town. Their first ally is Ravenswood teen Remy, who has a keen insight to the town's peculiar history and has started connecting some troublesome dots. These five teens have no idea how connected their lives are and the plans that Ravenswood has in store for them.

In the small town of Seagraves, Texas, Rocky Bryant was universally loved. You couldn't find anyone to say a bad word about him. Instead, people would regale you with stories of his great sense of humor, big smile, and giant heart. Rocky worked for the local feed plant for more than 20 years, and his coworkers were his biggest fans. Rocky made coffee for his crew every morning, and always started his day with a joke. But on March 25, 2008, what started as a normal workday quickly turned into a nightmare. Approximately 30 minutes after clocking in, Rocky was found brutally beaten in the dry feed building. As Rocky was being loaded into the ambulance, his old friend Deputy Shane Scott arrived, responding to the call. "They got me good, Shane. They got me good", was all Rocky could say about his attack, before being whisked off to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead a few hours later. Deputy Scott has never stopped searching for whoever did this to his friend.
