The auditions are in Manchester and first up is a martial arts expert call Mickey who does press ups on nails but he fails to impress the judges. Grace and her grandfather Ted are next up and they sing in front of the judges. They manage to impress the judges with their unique performance and gain a place in the next round of the competition. Les Gibson also manages to impress the judges with his impressions but not everyone else is so successful as more hopes are dashed by the judges including Elaine who fails to impress the judges with her stand up comedy. Pippa Langhorne and her dog Buddy manage to impress the judges with their vocal performance and gain a standing ovation from the audience. Razy also impresses with his dance routine and sails through to the next stage of the competition. The auditions move onto Glasgow where teacher Edward Reed manages to entertain the judges with his unique vocal rendition.

The truth concerning Warren's death finally is revealed. Polly's efforts to help Hannah end up going disastrously wrong.
