After ten days of silence because of the Decima virus, The Machine sends Finch and Reese the Number of an elusive tech company CEO. They soon discover that The Machine is engaged in a last-ditch effort to save itself, and Finch is forced to team up with Root while Reese works with Sam.

Zanna Roberts Rassi hosts a reunion edition featuring the regrouped designers reminiscing about their Season 11 experience.

On the anniversary of her mother's death, Cat asks Gabe to attend her family's annual remembrance of Vanessa, which makes Vincent incredibly jealous. Cat learns some information that makes her think her mom might still be alive and when a sniper shoots the mayor at a public event, Vincent finds evidence that links Gabe to the sniper.

A massive sinkhole consumes part of Troy Landry's hunting grounds and he and his sons must race to his remaining lines in the same area before they are swallowed up. "The Beast of the East" is chased by swampers using gator calls and while one team comes up with a clever way to extract gators from a huge snarled lily field, another bravely hunts for "The Monster of Monster Marsh" while trying to outrun a deadly lightning storm. The biggest gator of the season so far is caught and wrestled onboard.

Charlie gets jealous and uses a patient, Nolan, to spy on Kate.

The team continue their investigation into the mole and make a shocking discovery in the process. Meanwhile Fitz orders Jake to continue to protect Olivia, who is still very much in danger, and back at the White House Mellie's ultimatum forces Cyrus into the role of 'fixer.'

Milo decides it is time to break it off with Molly, but he doesn't want to leave on bad terms. Tyler and Gibbs don't see eye to eye with the owner of their favorite restaurant. And Neal is asked to fire an employee, but he doesn't have the guts to do it.

Sherlock resumes his hunt for Moriarty when Sebastian Moran reveals that a man who was thought to be dead from a heart attack was actually on the list of intended victims from Moriarty.

Jack & Alana are contacted by a former colleague, Dr. Chilton, who believes he has The Chesapeake Ripper in custody, but then one of his patients commits a murder that matches The Ripper's profile. The team determines the Ripper was a surgeon and is still at large when Jack's former protégé Miriam becomes the next victim. Jack copes with her loss and the prospect of losing his wife by opening-up to Hannibal.

There is no lack of suspects when a famous boxer is discovered stabbed to death in his own gym.
