Following Caleb's attack, Xander is now blind in one eye. Buffy takes all the guilt and again encounters Caleb at the abandoned school. Faith presses her fun-loving nature on the potentials and takes them all to the Bronze, which leads to an argument between Faith and Buffy, culminating in forcing the potentials to choose between their two leaders, but because of Buffy's recent decisions and behavior, they all side with Faith. Meanwhile, Spike and Andrew look into an abandoned mission and discover a plaque which reads: 'It's not for thee, It is only for her to wield'.

With graduation approaching, Rory is happily looking forward to attending the Stars Hollow High School prom with Jess, but he gets some surprising news from Principal Merten. Lane's band makes its debut at a big party, but the evening ends on an ugly note when the long-standing animosity between Jess and Dean finally erupts into a fist fight. Meanwhile, Lorelai gets roped into serving on the parents' committee for the Chilton graduation party, putting her back in contact with a very uncomfortable Max Medina.

Bridget begrudgingly becomes a mother when she is assigned to take care of a baby made out of a sack full of flour for school. When Kerry and Rory bake cookies for the Great American Bake Sale to help put an end to childhood hunger in America, Bridget begins to notice that her baby is developing a mysterious loss of weight.

Clark runs up against super-strong robbers who are apparently tied to LexCorp. And Chloe begins to ally with Lionel, while Lana and Henry Small bond.

It's down to the Top 5 and each contestant has two chances to win America over. Neil Sedaka guest judges.

Palmer's cabinet invokes the 25th Amendment in an attempt to remove him from power. They place him on trial for his extreme actions during the nuclear bomb threat.
Jack and Michelle work against the clock to prove that the evidence against the Middle East is false.

A trained bird flies into Andy's head in the backyard and Gracie adopts it as her bird pet, Daphne. The bird is driving everyone insane and they all can't wait to get rid of it, but unfortunately Gracie developed a deep emotional attachment to it. When someone leaves the window opened and the bird flies out in the middle of the night, Jim and Andy team up to go look for it at the park the next morning. When they spot the bird, their first reaction is not to tell Gracie, but Jim doesn't want to lie to his daughter anymore. Later, the real owner show up at the house and Gracie is forced to say goodbye to her feathered friend. Or is the thought of running away to Mexico more appealing than that?

NCIS Agent Gibbs continues his investigation on the terrorist, Amad Bin Atwa to avert another attack on a Navy ship. Harm is court-martialed for the murder of Lt. Singer.

Frasier learns that Dr. Phil McGraw is in town for a special. The two are old friends, but Frasier is angry at Phil for supposedly swindling him out of $200 in a poker game. He reluctantly agrees to take the star-struck Roz to the set to see him. Frasier is surprised to find that Bebe Glazer is Dr. Phil's agent, and becomes extremely envious. He wonder if she might be able to elevate him to the same level of stardom as Dr. Phil. Bebe agrees to meet with Frasier to discuss the matter, but also wants to seduce him. Frasier believes he can get Bebe to cave in by just teasing her with the possibility of sex, but Niles warns that the situation seems very dangerous. Frasier winds up running out of Bebe's room in a panic. Bebe shows up at Nervosa and tells Frasier that she wants to leave Dr. Phil for him, as she prefers a challenge. He excitedly agrees to increase her fee, even though she has already managed to cost him his stint at the Spokane station. He has no idea that Bebe never actually worked for Dr. Phil. Phil had only played along with her scheme to win back Frasier so that he could pay off a gambling debt. Meanwhile, Martin's supervisor punishes him for refusing to date his sister by assigning him to the graveyard shift. Martin begins to lose his mind due to the odd hours and lack of human contact. Niles and Daphne become fascinated with an older couple whom they view as future versions of themselves.
