Eric tries to help Chandler after the young minister learns that his father is dying of lung cancer, but Chandler rejects Eric's aid and pushes him away. Lucy accepts a date with Chandler's chain-smoking tattooed brother Sid (guest-star Jason London) in order to make Kevin jealous enough to propose to her. Elsewhere, Annie is shocked when she finds a pack of cigarettes in Simon's bedroom. Lastly, Ruthie's friend Peter begs her to lie and not tell his mother that he smokes.

The episode opens with Beka, dead on the floor of Command. She has a hole in her chest. Harper's body is propped against a machine, being electrocuted. Tyr lies on the floor of a deck, also dead. Dylan is leaning against some bars, bleeding. In Slipstream Control, Rommie is picked up by a large stranger in black armor, and thrown down to the Core. The stranger activates an overload, and the Andromeda splits in two, then explodes. Trance, in a mysterious blue space, watches in horror. She is with one of her Bonzai trees. "Okay, that did not work". she says, "Let's try again".

The morgue staff gathers to attempt to try and solve a case from 1964. With each of the staff members assuming a role in the case, with Max leading the way. Will they be able to find a killer from so long ago?

On a church ski trip chaperoned by perpetual party pooper Dr. Abbott, Amy and Colin share their first kiss since the surgery. Ephram finds himself intrigued by Colin's younger sister, Laynie (guest star Nora Zehetner), who has recently returned home from boarding school. Also, Bright attempts to get to the next base with his girlfriend (guest star Devon Reilly). Meanwhile, Andy hesitantly agrees to attend a singles mixer with the recently divorced Reverend Keyes (guest star Tim Dekay).

Doug and Carrie photos get mixed up with another couples. When Doug and Carrie look at the other couples photos, they find out that their lives aren't as good as the others, so they try to do what are seen in the photos. Arthur's new cellphone is in no use when no one calls him.

A nude man is found tied to his bed, having suffocated on a rag stuffed in his mouth while he was being sexually assaulted. Meanwhile, while investigating the murder of a crematorium owner, the CSIs discover dozens of bodies that were never cremated.
