When Mary and Wilson decide to get back together it begins to make Annie worrisome about their togetherness since Wilson and and his son Billy are hanging around the Camden house a lot more. Later on, Matt catches Wilson and Mary both sleeping together in her bed and throws a fit at them. Meanwhile, Lucy is also worried when her former boyfriends, Jimmy Moon and Rod team up to follow Eric around for a class project. The two guys even start calling themselves Eric's "MIT's: Minister's In Training". Also, Simon begins to train Happy for a role in a dog commercial while Matt is looking for the right time to tell his family that he got a job in Washington D.C. over the summer. Lastly, after Happy wins the commercial gig and is put on television, Happy's original owner and his daughter see Happy on television and want her back.

Neely, Donna and Lani are going on a cruise to Alaska. Lani is going to pose for Inside Sports on the cruise ship named the Dawn Princess. Cody doesn't want her to go there without him because he is afraid he is going to lose her like he lost C.J. Meanwhile, Neely tells Mitch that she is bringing Ashley to Alaska. It turns out that she has located her ex-husband Peter there. She will take Ashley to him because Ashley needs a family. Mitch doesn't want her to do that, because he doesn't want to lose them. But Neely decides to go anyway.

Murphy finds a secretary that she likes; only nobody else likes his abrasive approach. Jim is planning a rendezvous with Doris in Maine. When he tries to go through the metal detector at the airport he is found to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana, the marijuana that he purchased to help Murphy get through her chemotherapy. He dismisses it all as a minor inconvenience until the press gets hold of the story. In the ensuing media frenzy, Jim prefers to remain silent, Murphy thinks it would be better to tell the truth and when she does, Jim stops talking to her.
