Hal, Loi, Malcolm and Reese are trapped in a horrendous traffic jam. Francis enters himself in a bet that recalls the egg-eating wager in "Cool Hand Luke". Malcolm becomes smitten over a girl he meets. Dewey has his own little adventure - all over the world - before his family returns home.

When the phone company gives Springfield a new area code, Homer revolts taking the part of Springfield with the new area code (the poor side of town) with him. Soon it's Olde Springfield versus New Springfield. As mayor of New Springfield Homer runs it haphazardly and soon the population of New Springfield moves over to Olde Springfield, leaving the Simpson family as the only residents. It takes a Who concert to bring the two parts of Springfield together.

Bobby gets a job as Buck Strickland's caddy. He and Buck hit it off, and Bobby starts imitating Buck and defying his father. Things come to a head when Buck takes Bobby to Hot Springs, Arkansas on a gambling jaunt, and Hank goes after them. Meanwhile, Peggy and Minh get into a heated competition over who can donate the most blood.

Newly appointed Deputy Director Kersh organizes a manhunt for Mulder and assigns Agent John Doggett to head the team. Scully and Skinner go along with the investigation but are warned by Kersh that they will be fired if anything is said about aliens. Scully, along with the Lone Gunmen, surmise that the Bounty Hunter is trying to erase all evidence of abductions, and they realize that he may be going after Gibson Praise, who is now living at a school in Arizona. Agent Doggett comes to the same conclusion and his team race Scully and Skinner to the school where they find Mulder trying to kidnap Gibson.

After offending his wife, Larry decides to purchase a present to smooth things over. However, his shabby appearance thwarts his plans and leads to an interesting afternoon with a blind man.

The intergalactic adventures begin with the third season premiere episode when Bender's uncle, The Archduke of Thermstadt, dies. He leaves his gothic castle to Bender... on one condition -- Bender must spend a full night there. In a homage to classic horror movies, Bender becomes cursed and transforms every night, threatening the entire Planet Express gang.

Betty enters Ecomoda and the surprise is for everyone, the barracks, Patrícia and Marcela. Bertha resumes her work and goes with her baby. Roberto asks Betty not to hand over the company to him and to manage it until everything is resolved.
