The contestants are split into two teams, one team of 8 men and another team of 8 women. The men name their team "Versacorp" while the women name their team "Protg Corporation." The two teams are then given their first challenge - sell lemonade on the streets of New York with a budget of $250. The team that makes the most profit wins. The losing team must go to the board room, where one of the team members would be fired. At the end of the day, the women make a profit of approximately $1200 while the men only make about a $500 profit. As a reward for winning, the women visit Donald Trump in his penthouse suite, taking in the pleasures of true fortune. The men also go to meet Trump - in the boardroom, where David is the first contestant to be fired.

Carter is back in Chicago with Kem in tow. His return to the hospital is uneventful, although there is an awkward moment when Kem meets Abby. Sam gets called to Alex's school as it seems that he was suturing his own cut. She asks Abby whether the nurses' insurance covers family therapy. Gallant discovers that his sister has been getting it on with Pratt, although she later dumps him. Pratt accidentally breaks a patient's neck while doing an unsupervised intubation. Missing Valium is found in Weaver's labcoat, although it's implied that Morris took it. Luka informs Weaver that he's leaving for the Congo in two weeks. However, he later decides to stay in Chicago indefinitely.

The team has a wealth of suspects from which to choose as they search for a missing paparazzo who felt responsible when one of his pictures outing a TV star led to the actor's ruin and eventual suicide, and vowed to redeem himself and his career by helping an environmental watchdog group expose a corporation's cancer-causing pollution.
