Four of the six obstacles on the Los Angeles course will be new to "American Ninja Warrior". For the first time, competitors will face the Floating Steps, Tic Toc, Escalator, and Ring Jump. Veteran Ninjas Kevin Bull, Jessie Graff, and Grant McCartney return for another shot at completing the course. Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila return as hosts as Kristine Leahy co-hosts.

On the Atlanta course competitors tackle six obstacles, including the brand new Floating Steps, Block Run, and Pipe Fitter. Veteran Ninjas Drew Drechsel and Neil "Crazy" Craver return, along with seven-time competitor Travis Rosen.

On the Indianapolis course competitors tackle six obstacles including the brand new Floating Steps, Fly Wheels, and Disk Runner. Veteran Ninjas Meagan Martin and Brian Arnold return to represent "The Wolfpack", while Indianapolis 500 Champion Hélio Castroneves and NASCAR's Ricky Stenhouse Jr. take on the course for the first time.

On the Oklahoma City course competitors face several new obstacles, including the Floating Steps, Ring Swing, and Rock 'n' Roll. Veteran Ninjas Daniel Gil, Lance Pekus, Brent Steffensen, and fan-favorite Kacy Catanzaro return, while American gymnast and Olympic gold medalist Mitch Gaylord takes on the course for the first time.

Philadelphia will host the last qualifying round where competitors tackle 2 new obstacles: the Wall Drop and Rolling Thunder. Veteran Ninjas Joe Moravsky, Jamie Rahn, Ryan Stratis, Michelle Warnky, and Geoff Britten return.

The top 30 competitors from the Indianapolis Qualifier tackle an even more challenging course. The 4 added obstacles are: the Salmon Ladder, Hourglass Drop, Circuit Board, and Invisible Ladder. Top ninjas taking on the course include Meagan Martin and Brian Arnold, both from the famed Colorado rock climbing team "The Wolfpack".

The top 30 competitors from the Oklahoma City Qualifier tackle an even more challenging course. The 4 added obstacles are: the Salmon Ladder, Bungee Road, Pinch Grab, and Invisible Ladder. Top ninjas Daniel Gil, Lance Pekus, and Brent Steffensen will take on the course.

The top 30 competitors from the Philadelphia Qualifier tackle an even more challenging course. The 4 added obstacles are: the Salmon Ladder, Flying Shelf Grab, Pipe Pyramid, and Invisible Ladder. For the first time in ANW history, four women will compete in a City Finals: top female ninjas Michelle Warnky, Rachael Goldstein, Jesse La Breck, and Alyssa Beird take on the course, along with fan-favorites Geoff Britten, Joe Moravsky, Jamie Rahn, and Ryan Stratis.

ANW travels to Las Vegas where the top competitors from the City Finals tackle the 4-stage course. Competitors take on Stage 1, with 4 new obstacles: Snake Run, Giant Log Grip, Broken Bridge, and Flying Squirrel.

The National Finals come to a close, where Stage 1 finishers tackle Stage 2, and possibly Stages 3 & 4. Stage 2 includes the Giant Ring Swing, Down Up Salmon Ladder, Wave Runner, Butterfly Wall, Double Wedge, and Wall Flip. Stage 3 features the Keylock Hang, Floating Boards, Ultimate Cliffhanger, Curved Body Prop, Hang Climb, Walking Bar, and Flying Bar. If anyone reaches Stage 4 and conquers it, they'll win ,000,000 and the title of "American Ninja Warrior".

ANW celebrates the 8th season with the second All-Star special. The team competition now is a relay race, and features Team Kristine, with Flip Rodriguez, Jessie Graff, and Nicholas Coolridge. Team Matt features Chris Wilczewski, Najee Richardson, and Jesse Labreck, and Team Akbar consists of Neil Craver, Grant McCartney, and Meagan Martin.

Three separate teams of six from the US, Europe, and Latin America compete in Las Vegas on the first three stages of Mt. Midoriyama, the famed four-stage finals course featured in "American Ninja Warrior".
