When the U.N. is attacked by HYDRA, Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man discovers his technology has been stolen by HYDRA as well as SHIELD.

Bruce Banner tracks down Carl Creel a.k.a Absorbing Man to Vegas in order to help his with condition as well as get information from him about The Cube. Things don't go as planned which leads to a battle with the Hulk across the desert. Their fight is interrupted by General Ross and the Hulk Busters which in turn is interrupted by SHIELD agents Hawkeye and Black Widow.

Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne team up as Ant Man & Wasp to stop Whirlwind when he rampages through the city. After he's caught and turned over to SHIELD and the Big House, Nick Fury tries to recruit them into being agents.

Thor is summoned back to Asgard to prepare for his father Odin's sleep. Instead of remaining, he goes against his father's wishes and decides to return to Midgard (Earth), but before he leaves, he must protect Asgard from an attack from the Frost Giants instigated by his treacherous brother Loki.

After his company is bought out, Simon Williams agrees to become a deadly being of ionic energy in order to exact revenge on Tony Stark. Meanwhile, Wasp and Thor try to locate the secret hideout of a group of AIM agents and encounter another new villain, MODOC.

The Prince of Wakanda has been stalking the Avengers for weeks, and now the Black Panther strikes! The Panther wants the Avengers help in taking back the throne of Wakanda from the vicious Man-Ape. The problem is, they have to go through the Wakandan army, HYDRA, and Klaw to do it.

A dome of gamma energy envelops the Cube, turning everyone inside of it into a Gamma Monster. SHIELD and Doc Samson know that the Leader and a host of Super-Villains are inside? but worse, the dome is expanding. The Avengers are going in, but they're not prepared for what they find inside. Meanwhile, Hawkeye catches up to the traitorous Black Widow.

With the other Avengers turned into Gamma Monsters, Hawkeye must convince Hulk to help him fight the Leader.
