Alan and Jerry take a court case having to deal with a TV tabloid talk show when a woman rejects an ex-boyfriend's wedding proposal on air and then gets cuddled. Shirley defends an old friend who happens to be a war veteran and shoots seals in order to live off of.
Meanwhile, Denny tries to win Shirley's affection back by resorting to drastic measures while going out to dinner with her. Also, Lorraine thinks Alan should get some help after learning that he used to "cuddle" his toys as a child.
