As Clare's home life continues to crumble around her, she finds herself contemplating taking Eli's parents up on a strange housing offer, much to Eli's dismay and displeasure. While helping their mother organize a food drive at Degrassi, Drew and Adam both develop a crush on Fiona, who they persuade to help out. Not being dissuaded by Fiona's lack of interest, Drew enlists Adam's help in finding out what Fiona's interested in; completely unaware that Adam is interested in her as well. Not happy that Dave wants to start hanging out with a more popular group of friends, Wesley "accidentally" informs the new friends about who Dave's father is at school.
Like its predecessors, Degrassi follows a group of students attending Degrassi Community School who face challenges common to teen life, such as self image, peer pressure, child abuse, sexual identity, gang violence, self-injury, school shootings, teenage pregnancy and drug abuse.
Degrassi (previously titled The Next Generation) is the fourth fictional series in the Degrassi franchise, following The Kids of Degrassi Street, Degrassi Junior High, and Degrassi High.
