Bret and Jemaine decide to fire Murray because he has no time for them and immediately are offered a lucarative opportunity to write a jingle.
Bret and Jemaine only have one cup in the apartment to be shared between the two of them, so Bret buys a new cup. However, this frivolous purchase creates money problems for him and Jemaine. They're forced to take drastic measures to pay their bills, including selling their instruments and becoming prostitutes.
Bret is afraid of retribution after he insults some famous rappers and decides to start a gang for his protection.
Murray wants to take Bret and Jemaine to the 'next level' of friendship and introduces them to his best friend, Jim.
Jemaine is ridiculed and shunned by his friends because he becomes involved with an Australian girl.
Bret and Jemaine become rivals for the affections of the same girl.
Bret and Jemaine play a gig as Simon and Garfunkel which attracts the attention of a rabid Garfunkel fan. In the meantime, Murry tries to get the New Zealand Prime Minister an appointment to see the US President.
At the band meeting the Prime Minister of New Zealand pops by for a visit and proposes that they create "New Zealand Town", similar to Chinatown or Little Italy in NYC. Discouraged with the low turn-out to their gigs, the band take some advice from Murray to make themselves more cool. Upon becoming cool, they dress better and must rely a little too much on what made them cool to begin with.
Jemaine and Dave help Bret woo the clerk at the cheap zoo (pet shop). Jemaine also helps Murry seek forgiveness from Greg.
Bret and Jermaine can't afford to pay their rent and are forced to move in with Mel and Doug, and Murray believes they can make some money with a theatrical production about the band.
