New series. They always say 'no news is good news', but whoever 'they' are, they're obviously not the staff writers for Have I Got News for You - a series which would be nothing were it not for the headlines. The show returns for a new run this week, and fortunately there has been a wealth of news stories recently - giving guest host Jennifer Saunders plenty to go on as she quizzes team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop, along with their guest panellists, on recent events. Appearing this week are Scottish satirist, writer, television director and radio producer Armando Iannucci, and British Conservative Party politician Peter Bone MP.

Sue Perkins tops off a busy week. Having helped crown the Great British Bake Off champion on Wednesday, the comedienne and actress now slips into the HIGNFY host's chair to asks the questions, while Ian Hislop and Paul Merton take pot-shots at the funniest news stories of the past seven days, helped by a couple of guest panellists, Canadian stand-up Tony Law and Countdown presenter and Alan Sugar's sidekick Nick Hewer.

Frank Skinner started the week on BBC One, guest starring in long-running sci-fi show Doctor Who on Saturday - now he ends it here too by hosting the long-running news quiz. The guest panellists are comedienne Sara Pascoe and BBC political editor Nick Robinson, while Ian Hislop and Paul Merton make up the numbers, poking fun at the stories of the past seven days or so.

The popular satirical news quiz, with team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop, guest host Victoria Coren Mitchell and panellists Katherine Ryan and Janet Street-Porter.

Former Homeland star Damian Lewis chairs the quiz, with regulars Ian Hislop and Paul Merton, joined by comedienne Roisin Conaty and writer-director Andy Hamilton, poking fun at the stories of the past seven days or so.
