Dr. Griffith makes a bad incision during a liver transplant causing massive bleeding and forcing the liver to be discarded. The patient still has a chance for survival due to a possible living donation of the patients brother who is in prison for the cuddle of their foster father. Meanwhile Nathaniel treats a 13-year-old heart transplant patient who constantly comes back to the hospital with complications.
