As NINJAGO City rebuilds , Faith arrives with a warning: the Oni have returned. Lloyd must face the possibility that to defeat this foe, he may need the help of another enemy.

Having freed Lord Garmadon from Kryptarium Prison, the ninja are beset by doubts. Lord Garmadon and Lloyd journey into the cloud of darkness in an effort to stop the Oni's invasion.
