After an art dealer's wife is taken hostage atballoonpoint, Luther and the team are called in. The men responsible want payment in diamonds so Luther ends up substitutes a bag of replacement diamonds from the Serious Crime Unit's evidence safe. As the gang show up to pick up the gems they are arrested by Luther and the team but when everything starts to unravel Luther begins to suspect that he has been double crossed by Reed.
