Following the donut shop shooting, Veronica finds herself overwhelmed by PTSD. Accompanied by a disturbing visitor, she takes off on an impromptu road trip, leaving everyone concerned. Back at Mercy, the victims of a bus bombing inundate the E.R., causing Dr. Briggs and Dr. Sands to clash over the only available operating room. Chloe battles a hangover on her second day in the E.R., Sonia struggles to conceal her infidelity from Valentino and Dr. Harris treats a patient whose injury causes her to make inappropriate sexual advances.

Mercy Show Summary

The lives of the staff at Mercy Hospital are seen through the eyes of those who know it best - its nurses. Nurse Veronica Callahan returns to Mercy from a military tour in Iraq - and she knows more about medicine than all of the residents combined.
