In a continuation of last season's cliffhanger, Bobby and Elsa decide to call off their wedding, and Bobby goes on the honeymoon trip alone. Back in Chicago Andy and his wife have a new baby, and the guys are having a moustache growing contest. Against Stephanie's advice P.J. decides to tell Bobby how she feels about him.
The gang tries to find out who P.J.'s mystery boyfriend is. Bobby and P.J. try to keep their relationship a secret. Brendan is busy trying to get his club ready for business, and Andy is happy to get a night off.
PJ gets her own column in the paper but the guys think that it may be because of her looks rather than her writing. Meanwhile, Brendan brings Kenny to a new, exciting club.
Bobby takes exception to PJ's competitive nature during the annual gaming decathlon. Meanwhile, Stephanie uses the guys to research a new article she is writing.
Brendan comes to the notion that PJ should make all his decisions. Meanwhile, Kenny forms a new band.
Spring fever hits the Windy City as springlike warmth during the middle of winter prompts PJ and Bobby to hold a picnic in the park... but a crucial life decision complicates the outing. Meanwhile, Kenny begins a new relationship, and Mike tries vainly to emulate actor Mathew McConaughey by buying a dog and a Jeep.
Kenny becomes friends with the Dalai Lama on Facebook, and the gang convinces Bobby to join. Bobby learns that PJ is friends with all of her ex-boyfriends. Mike and Brandon compete for a woman with Mike using Facebook to help him.
The gang's dynamics are stirred up when PJ forms a bond with one of Stephanie's friends. Elsewhere, Kenny and Mike make friends with a customer, a counselor which Andy can't stand. Meanwhile, Brendan deals with a new business partner who is unreliable.
The gang head to Arizona to watch some spring training baseball. P.J. writes about the beginning of baseball season in order to keep all her bases loaded, but comes down with a case of writer's block. Meanwhile, Brendan has caught the eye of a player's girlfriend, and a lonely Andy remains back in Chicago.
