Grocery store cashier Chelsea Wyler finds herself at odds when her con artist father, Charles, unexpectedly shows up back in her life. Meanwhile, she finds comfort in local bon vivant Randall Abatsy. A mysterious order at the mill leaves Jake suspicious of Bud and what else might be happening at Carl Steel.

Set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America, the series follow a group of characters who gets involved in a shocking multiple cuddle when a one-dollar bill changing hands connect them.
