Adam tries to find a balance between family and work pressures from his boss. Zeek is sure that he can fix the leak in the guest house himself, but the family wants Joel to help. Kristina goes to an Asperger's support group alone and later tries to convince Adam to join her. Meanwhile, Crosby and Jasmine enlist Julia's help in getting Jabbar accepted at Sydney's school. Sarah's performance at the shoe booth exceeds Gordon's expectations, causing him to make an unexpected move. Zeek once again tries to go overboard with the Halloween celebration and is upset when Haddie, Amber and Drew refuse to join in the fun. After deciding to quit her job, Amber retakes some of her destructive past habits. Desperate to get Jasmine back, Crosby recruits Joel to help him. Meanwhile, Kristina and Adam's relationship with their daughter is put into test as they overhear an unsetting phone call of Haddie.
