Werner Heisenberg must continue his research without heavy water. When they learn that the Germans are rebuilding the factory, the Americans decide to bomb it, against Leif Tronstad's advice.

The six part dramatization follows the Nazi's efforts to develop an atom bomb, and the allied attempts to stop it.
The Saboteurs is about how the Norwegians stopped Hitler from building a nuclear weapon by the production of heavy water. They sabotaged the factory that produced something called heavy water that had the potential of creating a German atomic bomb. It should be a very, very well-known story but it's not.
