The X Factor auditions start in Los Angeles with Judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reidolo and Cheryl Cole. With a million recording contract on the line, they search for the best. When they move on to Seattle, Nicole Scherzinger replaces Cheryl Cole. Steve Jones hosts the show.

Auditions continue in Miami and Simon starts to think that they have made a mistake going to Miami until they find a singer that is the X Factor. They move on to Dallas and have a run in with a DIVA that has the same attitude that Simon has problems matching.

The audition start off in Chicago and Cheryl Cole joins Simon, L.A. and Paula on the judges table. They hear talent and those without it. In Seattle, Nicole takes over the judges seat and replaces Cheryl again. One contestant does a rendition of "Baby" by Justin Beiber that gets the judges asking for more.

The auditions conclude in Newark, New Jersey as the talent and Simon, Cheryl, Nicole, L.A., and Paula are ready to see if they can have a winner among the groups.

Hopefuls travel to Los Angeles for boot camp, where they'll be judged on their singing, dancing and performance style.
