Cars from different eras are compared this week. Jeremy drools over the Mercedes 280SL from the early 70s and compares it to the modern Audi TT. The new Nissan Micra which costs 9,000 is compared to a Boeing 737 private jet worth 38m. James takes a nostalgic look at the Aston Martin Lagonda and there's the first look at the new Aston Martin DB9.



Old cars are compared with new cars in a drag race; the original golf GTI Vs a new Toyota MR2. The Escort Cosworth Vs the Ford Focus RS and the Peugeot 205 Vs the new Peugeot 206.



Johnny Vegas is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Top Gear Show Summary

BBC's hit motoring show is more than just a show to review new cars. Top Gear is essential viewing. Not just for petrol heads, it also has a huge following amongst people with little or no interest in cars - both male and female. This is due to the show's irreverent approach to motoring, the humour and the priceless chemistry between the show's presenters - Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, with special appearances from the tame racing driver, The Stig.
