Helen and Paris reach Troy, to face the alarming consequences of their elopement. Helen's husband rages at her disappearance, and his brother Agamemnon inspires a Greek army to attack Troy and get her back. Odysseus, King of Ithaca is sent for, but he is too unwell to join the coalition. Priam and Hecuba debate whether to send Helen back or face the repercussions. In Aulis, the winds aren't in their favour and the fleet can't leave. The goddess Artemis presents Agamemnon with an agonising dilemma.
