Wolverine must overcome his feelings for Jean, and Storm must overcome her crippling claustrophobia, when the team journeys into the sewer to rescue Jean Grey and Cyclops from a race of hideously deformed mutants known as Morlocks, and their leader Callisto, who wants to make Scott her king.

They are mutants, genetically gifted human beings - the world's newest and most persecuted minority group. Amidst an increasing climate of fear and bigotry, one enlightened individual, Professor Charles Xavier, has created a safe haven for some of these powerful outcasts.
