Homer is suffering from insomnia due to stress. In an attempt to heal, the family takes a vacation to Florida. Little do they know, it is Spring Break. After Homer accidentally kills the beloved town alligator, the family must go into hiding to avoid being arrested.

Nancy and Dale go to a romantic restaurant and fall in love all over again. Nancy decides to end her affair with John Redcorn and be faithful to her husband. But she soon starts to wonder whether she made the right decision.

Mulder and Scully watch a movie with themselves as characters and are thoroughly disgusted at how they and their case are portrayed on the big screen. They recount how 18 months earlier they were followed around by a Hollywood producer while investigating a case concerning The Lazarus Bowl - a mythical piece of pottery reputed to have inscribed on it the words that Jesus Christ spoke when he raised Lazarus from the dead.

When Bender cannot pay the bill after an extremely expensive meal, he offers to work it off in the kitchen. While he's working he is introduced to the secret robot mafia who cooks up a plan for Bender to participate in a Zuban Cigar heist. Bender is dished a deal that hits closer to home.

Marcela discovers and reads the poem that Betty left Armando, and is convinced that Armando's lover is the one who signed the poem. Betty, scared, asks Armando to finish the novel. Marcela asks Hugo to investigate who Delmira Agustini is, the person who signs the poem.
