The Morgan tribe wakes up the next morning and find that the ocean tide is rising and they need to adjust their shelter or make a wall to avoid the water. While at Drake, Jon continues to argue with his other tribemates. Christa and Rupert see the tension created by Burton and Shawn.



At the Reward Challenge, a sewing machine is up for grabs. During the challenge Osten can't handle the water and needs to be rescued by his tribemates and as a result Drake wins the sewing machine and a clue to find their treasure. Drake finds their treasure and although some things were moldy they were still able to get chocolate. Back on Morgan, Trish from the Drake tribe takes their lantern while Andrew and Ryan O. explore their beach in search for water and fish but find nothing.



During the night at Drake, Burton takes Rupert aside and tells him he thinks the tribe should purposely lose and vote out Christa and Trish. Rupert doesn't think it's a good idea but will do it anyway. Morgan wins the Immunity Challenge and a twist is introduced. Rupert is chosen by Morgan to join the tribe until the next Immunity Challenge. At Tribal Council it's between Christa or Burton.

Joey and Rachel find their new relationship awkward, while Ross gets an unusal spray tan.

J.D. is feeling left out of his friendship with Turk and gets hurt when Turk is scared of opening up to him.

Meanwhile, Carla is driven crazy over an unidentified urine sample, and Elliot tries to balance Sean and her career, so that one doesn't end up getting in the way of the other.

Grissom and Warrick get the case of an old woman found mummified in her closet. Sara and Nick arrive to investigate a breaking and entering to find a raped teen. These cases are not as disparate as they first seem. Catherine looks into a gun found by a boy. The gun is connected to a week old murder across town that Warrick caught.

When Grace and Leo join Karen for a friendly game of tennis at her exclusive club, her fierce playing style sends Grace fleeing the court. However, when the reason for her angry play is her hatred for Leo, Grace is determined to find a way for them to get along. Elsewhere, a nervous Will suckers Jack into visiting his depressed mother in Connecticut hoping they can cheer her up.

New residents arrive at County, including 2nd year Nick "Coop" Cooper. Coop talks back to Romano and is nearly killed when Neela gives him too much epi during an asthma attack. Pratt and Chen's dinner is invaded by her parents. Chen later dumps him when he states his feelings about their relationship. Romano's hospital insurance doesn't cover a good prosthetic arm. Instead, he gets a hook. He has been trying to cut the budget by giving the nurses fewer shifts and filling the rest with temps. Most of the nurses stage a walk out and receive 90-day suspensions as a result. Abby and Lewis treat a girl whose parents don't want to tell her that she's dying. Fast Eddie and Corday do it in a car. Luka arrives at County and Gillian gives Abby her letter from Carter, in which he dumps her. Frank picks it up off the ground from next to a trash can and soon everybody knows.

A missing-persons case becomes a criminal investigation when, after a recently engaged woman disappears, it turns out that she was running a confidence scheme.
