Gerentex, the nightsider whom the crew used to work for, comes to Andromeda asking for help locating a sacred artifact. Although when a deadly alien calling himself the reaper shows up the mission spins out of control.

John, for once, is at a loss for words when his godson (Marc Valera) seeks his advice on how to tell his father that he is gay; Reggie gets caught up in a game of one-upmanship with a snooty acquaintance (Molly Hagan).

Sean and Brian have just completed the daring rescue of Matt, a twelve year old boy who had gotten a little too excited with his birthday present: a wind surfboard. The boy is impressed that he was rescued by "the" Brian Keaulana. Brian and Sean, meanwhile, are looking over the new computer system, designed by Zack and paid for by Harold Schuster, the center's biggest donor. Brian asks Sean how to use the banner ads at top. He tries to click on one. The system suddenly crashes. With Schuster coming later that afternoon, this is a major disaster.

Doug, feeling underappreciated at work, hears that drivers at FedEx are making twice what he makes. When he runs into a former co-worker now working for the big overnight service, he takes his friend's casual banter to mean that FedEx wants to hire him. Doug uses this information to play hardball with his supervisor and instead of getting a raise and a better delivery route, he gets fired.
