While attending a conference in New York, David chases Owen a petty thief into the city's abandoned subway tunnels where he finds an underground community of homeless people. David discovers that some of the inhabitants share symptoms of a mysterious illness and he begins to investigate.
Back at NorBAC, Jill believes that she has discovered a cure for juvenile diabetes from an unsanctioned line of stem cells.
Caroline's nephew Glenn who has been lying in a coma is beginning to show some signs of response.

At the power plant a movie is shown where the workers endorse outsourcing and Mr. Burns announces that he is closing the plant and moving the work to India. Homer is the only union employee left on the payroll and he is sent to India to train the replacement workers, when he succeeds beyond expectations, he is given total control of the plant and declares himself a god. Meanwhile, Selma & Patty take Bart and Lisa to their MacGyver convention. When they discover Richard Dean Anderson doesnt like MacGyver and much as they do, they kidnap him in retaliation. Anderson escapes only to enjoy the thrill and he turns himself back in so that he can escape again. When it happens over and over again, soon Patty and Selma are the ones who need a means of escape.

Segment #1 - Doug and his friend are caught searching through a mailbox looking for his friends keys. He is then blamed for putting in a mysterious box without a forwarding address.
Segment #2 - Ne-Yo and his friend come across a bag full of money in an alley but finds out its ransom money, the police ask him where the kid is at and the mother says he took her kid.
Segment #3 - Stephen and his girlfriend are at a tanning salon but when a girl walks by and sees two contruction workers taking pictures, Stephen's girlfriend pushes one of them into a ladder knocking the other guy off. They get accused of hurting a worker and lying about the pictures.
