Malcolm suffers extreme humiliation in his first week as a high-school freshman. Francis surprises everyone by becoming the responsible one at work and Dewey revels in being a latchkey kid.

Phoebe accidentally opens a hole in time when she repeatedly saves the life of her boyfriend, whose preordained time to die has come. A warlock named Bacarra uses the time rift to travel back from the future and kill two of the Charmed Ones. It's now up to Piper and Leo to repair the time stream and reverse the trail of death and despair.

When Homer can't pay for his beer, he finds alternate means for altering his consciousness. When he finally is given a beer, it puts him over the edge and into a cab home. His cab ride home is videotaped (a la HBO's Taxi Cab Confessions) and his family sees him complaining about them, the family got in the way of his dream to be a rock star. To help him get over these feelings, they send him to The Rolling Stones' Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp. Homer, Barney, Apu and others learn how to be a rock star from the likes of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Elvis Costello, Lenny Kravitz, Brian Setzer, and Tom Petty. When his dream week is over, Homer is totally despondent; his rock star dream has been shattered. Mick offers him the opportunity to help them out with their upcoming benefit gig. Everyone (including Homer) thinks he is going to play on stage with the stars; the rock stars of course just want him to be their roadie. When he starts testing the microphones, he starts to steal the show, the rock stars fight back and a riot breaks out.

Bill disgusts everyone with his ability to guzzle hot dogs in a few seconds, he is depressed. Until a sexy woman from the International Federation of Competitive Eating (the NFL of competitive eating) groupie encourages Bill to sign up for the big contest. Bill's dream seems to be shattered when it turns out that Dale is better at competitive eating than he is.

Sydney starts to lose trust for her father. Meanwhile, Vaughn and Sydney may have beeen exposed to a deadly virus in Taipei. Also, Vaughn hires Will to help research for a case.

When Lorne performs a spell on Cordelia to restore her memory, it inadvertently causes the gang to revert back to their high school personas and leaves them with no memories of each other. Eventually, they discover that the only way to reverse the spell is to kill a vampire, just as Angel realizes that he is one.

The detectives investigate a triple murder, including the son and daughter of a wealthy businessman, that occurred in his apartment. After investigating the childrens' stepmother (his second wife), they turn to a pair of nannies, one of whom works for the family. However, the detectives must reach back to the nannies' history as children, and a television soap opera, in order to better understand the motives for the crime.

Junior uses an injury at the courthouse as an opportunity to introduce a new defense at his trial.
Ralph begins to ponder the state of his life when his son is badly hurt in an archery accident.
A mysterious fire at the stables results in the death of Tony's favorite horse. Tony confronts Ralph, resulting in a bloody and deadly climax.

After being raped by Dean, Paige begins to have nightmares. When a band contest comes up, Paige decides to get P.M.S. back together, and even invites outsider Ashley to join. But when Ashley wants to sing a song about rape, Paige starts to crack- especially when she starts seeing Dean in everywhere.

Christmas causes no end of difficulty for Larry: country club tipping puts him in an uncomfortable situation, dealings with his maid and gardener cause a rift (further deepened by a web of lies meant to help Jeff), and the accidental destruction of a manger scene leave him on the outs with Cheryl's family.

As Earth is unable to counter its rising temperature through the usual method (the dropping of a giant ice cube into the ocean), Gore leads an emergency conference in Kyoto, Japan, where Professor Farnsworth claims responsibility for the crisis. It seems love detoured him from observing proper emission standards on his prototype robot, and that could necessitate the destruction of all its 'descendants.' That includes Bender, who resigns himself to having a farewell blowout before being blown up.
