The fifth set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges hoping to impress and gain a place in the next round of the competition. School friends Jack and Cormac manage to impress the judges and sail through to the next round. Not everyone is successful though and they see their hopes being dashed at the first hurdle. Philip Green manages to impress the judges though with his comic impressions though. Others to impress include dance group MD. Simon's mood worsens as the day goes on and many acts fail to impress him. Seventy one year old Kelly Fox surprises the judges with her voice and song choice and manages to get through to the next phase of the competition. Pre-Skool, Glambassadors, Youth Creation and Rosie O'Sullivan all manage to impress and sail through.
