The Doctor takes Clara, Angie, and Artie to Hedgewick's World of Wonders. However, they soon find themselves enmeshed in the resurrection of an old enemy from the Doctor's past, and the Doctor soon finds himself facing an enemy within.

The fifth set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges hoping to impress and gain a place in the next round of the competition. School friends Jack and Cormac manage to impress the judges and sail through to the next round. Not everyone is successful though and they see their hopes being dashed at the first hurdle. Philip Green manages to impress the judges though with his comic impressions though. Others to impress include dance group MD. Simon's mood worsens as the day goes on and many acts fail to impress him. Seventy one year old Kelly Fox surprises the judges with her voice and song choice and manages to get through to the next phase of the competition. Pre-Skool, Glambassadors, Youth Creation and Rosie O'Sullivan all manage to impress and sail through.

Tom attempts to help a group of relatives who are in denial about their problems. Linda takes sides after she believes that a patient is being harassed by a gang of youths.

Jonathan's guests this week are Jamie and Louise Redknapp, artist and musician Yoko Ono, and Hollywood action-man Vin Diesel. Two of the world's greatest magicians from hit stadium show The Illusionists do something special, and new English rock band Bastille perform live.
