Fort Worth, TX - Officer Antonio Maldonado II chases a silver dual rear wheel pickup truck through a residential area. Officer Carolyn Jacoby joins a pursuit started by the gang unit and a helicopter until they reach a street closed for construction where it becomes a foot pursuit. Officer Ernesto Tamayo stops to find out why a man is sitting in a parked car, but he drives off leading to a chase during which he throws a loaded syringe out the window.

Lindsay encourages Nick to pursue a career in music. Nick continues to practice with his current band, but quickly decides he's better than them. Lindsay encourages Nick to audition for a bigger local band. When things don't go well in the audition, Lindsay is there to comfort Nick. After learning they have to shower in gym class, Sam, Bill, and Neal refuse to do it.

Spellbinder returns. The place to be is VRRoom, where simulators provide you with your greatest fantasy through virtual reality. But there's a new VR arcade in town, where the simulation is even more realistic. The only problem is that kids are getting addicted, needing more of an escape from the real world with every use -- leading to increased serotonin levels in the brain and putting the overdosed kids into a coma. Batman has another dilemma, with Max insisting on being a more active partner. The consequences are disastrous: when she tags along with some kids to get a lead on the new arcade, she ends up becoming addicted herself.
