Lisa takes the family on a hike, and everyone sees a race car driver crash. So the family goes to races. Sitting behind the Simpson family are the Flanders. Homer asks why they are there, Maude replies she likes to look at the yokels. To get the crowd going, T-Shirts are shot out of a cannon. The crowd goes wild, Dr. Hibbert gets one and Homer removes his own shirt, making a spectacle of himself. Maude is embarrassed by his behavior. Maude leaves to get her family hotdogs and when she returns she is hit by a flying T-Shirt and falls over the back of the grandstand to her death. After the funeral, Homer takes it upon himself to get Ned back into the dating scene by creating a video dating tape for him. Ned goes on several bad dates and becomes discouraged, but finds an angel waiting for him at church, when he sees and hears Rachel Jordan, the lead singer of a Christian rock band, singing a song. Ned starts speaking with her as the episode comes to an end.

Debbie is found dead in the dumpster behind Sugarfoot's restaurant, and Hank is a suspect. Hank was with Debbie's roommate Gayle at the time, but he's afraid to tell the police, because he'd have to admit that he accidentally smoked some of Gayle's marijuana. Buck decides that he loves his wife after all.

After arresting the murderer of Amber-Lynn LaPierre and discovering a mass grave site containing the bodies of dozens of missing children, a man comes to Mulder and claims to have had visions of other victims who aren't buried at the site. Despite Scully's objections, he takes Mulder on a journey which reveals what truly happened to his sister.

Furio Giunta, the newest member of Tony's crew, has arrived from Italy and thanks to Artie Bucco is now the head mozzarella maker at the Nuovo Vesuvio Restaurant. All this upsets Christopher and Pussy. As time goes on, Tony becomes angrier than usual especially after finding out Janice and Richie, who used to be lovers, have reunited. Just as Tony is about to lose it, Dr. Melfi calls him up and asks him if he would like to resume his therapy sessions.

Fry finds his flirtation with Amy heating up, until Amy becomes too serious about the relationship. Fry attempts to break things off just before Valentine's Day, but he's interrupted when the car he, Amy and Dr Zoidberg are in crashes. As a result, Fry's head becomes separated from the rest of his body. But thanks to Dr. Zoidberg's quick thinking, Fry's life is saved when his head is grafted onto Amy's body, forcing them to spend Valentine's Day together whether they want to or not.
