When Dale brings home a new 'Super Mower' the neighbors are jealous, but his attitude leaves everyone with a bad taste in their mouths. To knock him down a few notches, the crew decides to hide his new mower, & make it look like a conspiracy, Peggy gets involved and it goes too far. Dale gets pushed over the edge & it is Hank that goes to help him back down.

Bud's first case as a newly sworn in JAG attorney is to defend his father, a retired Navy Chief who's been accused of having been involved in defrauding the Navy when he was in charge of Ship's Stores. Though the two have been estranged, Bud feels a strong obligation to his father, who specifically requested him to be his attorney. Harm is the designated prosecutor, which spooks Bud, as he knows he's going up against the best.

A feuding Carter and Stuart become friends with the other's ex, just for spite.

The crew receives a mission to go to Vergon 6 and rescue the animals living there. The planet, once filled with dark matter, has been completely mined and is on the verge of collapsing. On the way, they spot Captain Zapp Brannigan's ship. Leela raves about Zapp's accomplishments, but he soon reveals himself to be a pompous jerk. He refuses to help them in their rescue mission, and when they try to leave, Zapp has the entire crew imprisoned. In order to deal with Leela and get his way, he calls her up to his room in hopes of seducing her.
