The first snow of the season hits Stars Hollow -- Lorelai's favorite time of year. The roads ice over and Rory is forced to stay with her grandparents where she introduces them to the wonders of frozen pizza. Back in Stars Hollow, Lorelai runs into Max, whose car had died on his way home. Since he's stranded in Stars Hollow for the night, Lorelai takes him out to dinner and a movie, but their date is cut short when they find Lane at Lorelai's, waiting for Rory. Later, Rory returns home and is shocked to find her teacher asleep on the couch.

Ross wants to introduce son Ben to Chanukah. In order to entice Rachel to move back into their refurbished apartment, Phoebe must drive a wedge between Rachel and current roomey Joey.

Will and Jack threaten to destroy their friendship when they both go after the same guy. Meanwhile, Grace meets a great new guy, but she is worried that an ugly sore on her lip will scare him away. But she is the one who winds up being scared away when she learns that the guy has six toes on one of his feet.

During labor Chen has second thoughts about giving her baby up for adoption, a decision complicated by the adoptive parents' presence at the hospital. With an enormous lack of sleep, Carter is called back to County to act as Chen's coach, and is later tempted to use Vicodin to take the edge off. Finch and Benton encounter trouble trying to keep Kynesha hidden from a gang. Benton comforts a little girl who is feeling used by her parents. Legaspi plants a kiss on Weaver. Greene and Corday spend the day in New York seeking help for his brain tumor. Weaver has the hiccups throughout the entire episode, trying several suggestions to stop them.
