When Brennan and Angela get caught in a fight in a dance club, Brennan kicks someone into a wall, which causes the wall to break open and reveal a mummified corpse and a meth stash.

A surprise phone call from Christopher brings up issues of trust between Lorelai and Luke. Later, when a person from Luke's past shows up in Stars Hollow, he has no idea how to tell Lorelai about it. After months of estrangement, Lorelai and Rory make their first move toward reconciliation and Rory takes major steps to change the direction of her life.

A professional bicyclist is brought in after collapsing during a race, but House doesn't want to treat him because he thinks the athlete is taking performance-enhancing drugs. House only becomes interested when the patient admits to taking the drugs.

Mackenzie decides to change the direction of her administration - from reaction to action - and appoints Rod as Strategic Planning Adviser, much to the disgust of Chief of Staff Jim Gardner. Meanwhile, Vince's drug test reveals that he's HIV positive and Templeton plots to use this to his advantage. Mac is presented with scandalous information about Templeton's past and has to decide how to use the information. Later, Horace almost gets into a fight with Rebecca's boyfriend when he learns about the rumor he's spreading.

After a dating service is linked to three rapes, Olivia goes undercover to ferret out the rapist and meets Mike Jergens, a surgeon who enjoys controlling the women in his life. The detectives are soon led to his girlfriend, Cora Kennison, but shortly after testifying in the grand jury hearing Cora marries Mike. After Cora attempts suicide, Mike fights her mother, Virginia, to unplug her feeding tube.

Christian and Quentin disagree over the ethics of an extremely dangerous operation that would enhance their medical reputations. Sean is thinking about giving up everything and disappearing into the Witness Protection Program with Nikki and her son.

The roomies are coming down to the wire to get their documentry done for the South by Southwest Festival and Nehemiah, who has done most of the editing work, ends up in jail.
