Against Eric's wishes, Simon asks Mrs. Kerjesz (guest-star real life survivor, Rita Zoharm) to tell her story about being in the Holocaust in his class presentation. To form a strong sisterly bond, Mary and Lucy decide to hate Matt's new girlfriend for no good reason and end up hurting her feelings and breaking up with Matt. Also, Annie suffers heartache when Ruthie tells her she "hates" her for making her clean the walls in her room after scribbling crayons on them.

Its Career Week at Sunnydale High and Buffy is faced with the reality that she has no future apart from that of a Slayer. Meanwhile, in order to stop the Slayer from ending his plan to restore Drusilla's strength, Spike sends four deadly assassins to ensure the Slayer has no future. Also, a mysterious girl is following Buffy and Angel around and Xander and Cordelia are trapped in Buffy's house after being attacked by one of the assassins.

Dax tries to set the Major up for a dinner date, but Kira is not interested in bringing anyone. Even the company of Odo would, at present, not be realistic. The conversation is put aside when a man beams into Ops from an unknown location. When he reveals himself to Kira, the Major recognizes him as Bareil from the alternate universe.

Meanwhile, attorney Caroline Poop retunrs to represent a beautiful office mail-deliverer, the subject of Elaine's recently withdrawn sexual harassment suit against Cage & Fish, who now wants to file her own charges of sexual harassment against the law firm.

Neely returns to Baywatch after a long absence, recuperating from a terrible skiing accident. When she is getting her pills at a pharmacy, a robber comes in. An old man named Mr. O'Hara is standing next to Neely and he has a heart attack and Neely is forced to perform CPR. The robber freaks out and grabs the money and runs away. Mitch and Donna watch Neely on TV. It turns out that Neely has become hooked on painkillers. Donna figures it out but Neely denies everything.
