An officer of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is dispatched to a call for a stolen truck. As he catches up with the missing vehicle he discovers that the victim of the crime and his brother are also in pursuit and have crashed into the thief. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office are suspicious of a vehicle with tinted windows in a parking lot. An investigation reveals a smell of marijuana, but a further search uncovers more drugs. Once again, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is summoned for a stolen vehicle, which results in a foot chase. The suspect claims the whole thing was just a joke on the car owner.

Top Gear returns and already the police are involved. The boys are each given 1,000 to buy a police car which will then be used in a dramatic chase. Unlike a real police car, there won't be several hundred metres of forms to fill in if they get a bit dented. And they most likely will get dented.



There are some helpful tips on how to drive economically; to demonstrate this, there is a race involving a Ferrari 599, Aston Martin DBS, Mercedes McLaren SLR, Lamborghini Murcielago and an Audi R8.



Jeremy starts the sideways, "power"-shouting, tyre-shredding fun by driving the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, which was postponed from the last series after a journalist crashed it. An Austin Allegro goes off a ramp - backwards and James introduces a new member to the Top Gear team...
